Beat Signer<\/a> is Professor of Computer Science at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and director of the Web & Information Systems Engineering (WISE)<\/a> research lab. He has more than 20 years of experience in research on cross-media technologies<\/a> and the use of the resource-selector-link (RSL) hypermedia metamodel<\/a> in cross-media linking, fluid document formats and cross-media user interfaces. Over the years, the RSL hypermedia metamodel has been applied to various domains, including personal cross-media information management<\/a>, interactive paper solutions<\/a>, cross-device and Internet of Things applications as well as personalised technology-enhanced learning environments<\/a> and next generation presentation solutions<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
